is working as senior researcher at e-think and at Vienna University of Technology, Energy Economics Group. He joined the research group in 2000 and is currently leading a team dealing with policy-related research in the area of energy policy and energy economics with a focus on renewable energy technologies-with proven expertise on international level.
His fields of activity include techno-economic assessments of (renewable) energy technologies, design and evaluation of energy policy strategies and energy modeling (focusing on policy interactions and technology dynamics). He has led or contributed to several European and international studies and policy assessments related to renewable energies, assessing for example the feasibility and impacts of EU targets for renewables by 2020 and beyond.
Gustav Resch holds a master in electrical engineering (Energy Technology) and a PhD in energy economics at Vienna University of Technology.
