Electricity markets

Currently, increasing quantities of intermittent renewables bring about radical changes in electricity markets. These changes encompass the organisation, legal frameworks, market structures, market rules and especially the role of the demand-side. In this context, e-think addresses the most important parts of the service supply chain: (i) market design in generation (day-ahead, intraday, balancing markets, RES-E generation), (ii) regulation of transmission and distribution grids, (iii) retail markets and customer related issues (customer tariffs, load analyses, load response, DSM and decentralized PV applications).
Another important focus is to provide new updated economic appraisals of all technologies under the new market structures, including nuclear, CHP, CCGT as well as intermittent renewables.
